Week 1 Writing Assignment
I choose the “Madden Season” commercial featuring Kevin Hart and Dave Franco. This commercial is basically showings how serious men get about Madden. Once Madden Season begins, it will be hard for Dave to pay attention to his girl-friend or anything else, with Kevin Hart around. The commercial starts with Kevin slapping Dave, which leads to a stare off between the two. Ffollowed by Kevin keying Dave’s car,; Kevin Hart stocking Dave,; Kevin putting sugar in Dave’s gas tank, and ends with Dave’s girl leavesing him for a NBA player. This is the set up for a Madden game at Dave’s house. This commercial was totally 'out- of- the- box' thinking when EA Sport came up with this ideas.
After a good analysis of the EA Sports commercial for one of their best games., Tthe findings were of no surprise based ofn this company’s success. The Madden Season commercial racked up close to 5.5 million views on YouTube alone, and in the same year Madden 2015 came in second only to Call of Duty: Black Ops with over 5 million copies sold.
In conclusion, Madden is a self-made 4 billion dollar franchise that wanted to ido an 'out- of- the- box' type of commercial. I must say this commercial was great! They attracted the target audience that EA Sports wanted to attract,nd they did in such great fashion.
