My name is Jung Ho kim, and I am a citizen of South Korea and a permanent resident of the United States of America. I am currently working at Argonne National Laboratory as a scientist. My wife’s name is Fan Wang, and she is a citizen of Canada and a permanent resident of the United States of America. We would like to invite my mother-in-law, Xiaoxia Li, to come to the United States to visit us for the comisng fall and winter seasons.

My wife and I got married on January 2011, and on September 2014 we welcomed our first baby – our son, Justin Kim. Becoming parents and watching our son growing makes us more deeply understand the meaning and importance of our family, and also let us know the hardship and devotion of parenting. Now we understand our parents a little better, and more fully appreciate everything that they did for us. andWe miss them more than ever. Last year we had a two-week tripe into Korea, so I met my family in Korea and my parents met their grandson for the first time. It was a rspecially good time for our whole family. Due to the time limit of my vacation and diffithe cuhalltyenges of traveling with a baby, we did not visit my wife’s family in China. I knew that my wife missed her own family a lot, even though she cokeeps in taouch witsh ther family every week through phone calls, sSkype orand fFacetime,. bBut ithat is not the same toas spending time with her family in person. I am rdealeply soregryetted that we canould not make the tripe to China last year. We would like to invite my wife’s parents. Unfortunately, my father-in-law has had a minor health issue recently buthat still requires occasionally need medical treatment, and whicanh prevents him frotm traveling internationally. So we would like to invite my mother-in-law, XiaoXia Li, to come to the United States to stay with us for 4 to 6 months.

Another reason we want to invite my mother-in-law is that we want her to be here for our son’s twseco yearnd birth day. My mother-in-law was here with us during the birth of my son. She was also here for his one -month ceremony and his 100 -day celebration. She saw his first smile and she was there for his first rolling over with us together. After my mother-in-law returned China, she missed her grandson so much, she kept looking at his pictures every day and every time we did fFace time with her, she always wanted to see her grandson. When my mother-in-law left here early last year, our son was only few months old, and now he is almost two years old. aSo ndow he is startsing to run around everywhere, to learn to speaking, and to recognize different people and their names. My wife always shows our son his grandparents’ pictures and now our son can tell which one is grandpa and which one is grandma from the pictures. But it will not be the same for him to spend time with his grandparents together, especially for his birthday. We would like my mother-in-law to stay with us for a few months, so we can celebrate our son’s birth day together, brtake hingm outr sick-or-treating for thise first trick or trmeat this Halloween together (we did not bringtake him for trick -or -treating for the first two years because he was too little), and celebrate Christmas together. My wife and my mother-in-law will be extremely happy, and my son will also be happy to spend time with his grandma instead of only seeing pictures. We really look forward to this family reunion.

My mother-in-law will only stay here for a few months, because my father-in-law and sister-in-law will need her to return to China.
