Balancing the family while working is not an easy job to do for normal working women, and it is even harder for those who are Senators. After watching the “14 Women” I deeply admire the Senators for their ability to balance the family, work, and leisure time much better than I thought. It seems like they have no leisure time, but they do have, and it is called semi-leisure time, according to the reading. Their leisure time is combinesd with work, time watching their children playing, time spending for dinner with the family at home, and time hooking up with other female Senators for work purpose. It is also the way for the Senators to balance the family, work, and leisure time. As we see in the movie, the Senators check with their children to make sure if they are doing well, if they have done their homework done, or if they have had a good time while being at work or being away from home. They cgome to support their children playing sports, they spend time with theirm cwhildren doing their homework, and they take their children on the trips with them whenever they can. They always show love and care to their children even though they are busy. The most important thing is that they have supportive husbands and children, and are the powerful women and wonderful moms of whom their family is proud of. Having support from the family is also one of the ways the Senators recharge,. especially, bBeing around with their loved ones to have fun and relax is an important time for tiheme to refiluel their energy for the next day.

The similarity between the Senators and other working women, especially those who are married and have children, is that they are the moms and the wifves who need to take care of the family besides working. They are also similar in the way they use their leisure time, such as spending time with the children or cooking are their leisure time. The difference I can see is the other working women may leave work aside while they are home with the family. They can hang out with their friends or female groups for common interests such as cooking discussions or other social activities. Whereas, the Senators have muchany more things to do at work and they also have homework to do at home. In addition, instead of hanging out with other women to enjoy their time together, the Senators handg out for working purposes. I think the Senators have more pressure than the other working women because they do not only have duties forwith the family but are also are responsible for the welfare of the people of the whole state.

I do not think this is not a detrimental to the Senators because they do not force themselves to spend time forwith their family, for their children, or roll their leisure time and work into one, but they do it with care, love, and passion as a moms. If they want, they can hire someone who can take care of their children, who can cook and does laundry for them while they are spending their leisure time besides working;, but they do not do that. They try to be with their children as much as they can and they do housework as other moms do. That is the reason why I am impressed and admire them for being the powerful women as well as the great mothers.
