When I was casually shopping at *undisclosed mall*, I saw a poster to fly to Kelowna, British Columbia. Because I hadven't travelled since 2012 when I went to Manitoba, and have just been layidng on the couch in my basement all day, I readily took the offer and got aboard the next plane. The seats had screens attached to them, so I loaded up Netflix and fell fast asleep. My anxiety kicked in once the plane woke me up with turbulence,. fFortunately, it moved on nicely. I could see rain on my window, which chilled me out for the rest of the journey. When I took a step outside of the doors and walked down the stairs with my suitcase, my stomach felt like it was tumbleding and I was very nauseous. After a couple of hours at the airport, I was craving something sweet, so I ended up buying some strawberry and Oreo ice cream and went along with my day. While my Uber driver drove me to the hotel where I was staying at, I passed a really beautiful wedding that was full of flowers, glorious painted pictures, and a white decor. As I arrived at my destination and unpacked my bags, I got a call from my mom and dad who told me they went kayaking on their vacation in Norway,. Dad told me they were planning to take a boat back to Portland. I pulled out my laptop, made some tea, and searched for a couple of things to do in B.C. Google gave me a beach, a five star restaurant, and a exquisite hot spring. They all looked great, but I realized I couldn’t do all three, so I ended up making a reservation at the restaurant and booking a time for the hot spring. Just as I was ready to fall into bed, my friend Ashley texted my phone and told me about her trip to Vancouver,. sShe mentioned biking with her best friends to Science World, the cozy cottage she was renting with a fishing lake nearby, and camping at the Lynn Canyon Park. She also told me about both her brothers’ playing in their lacrosse and baseball tournaments, which, with no surprise, ended with them winning both. After I ended the call with her, I prepared myself for the day ahead and tucked myself into bed. Tomorrow was going to be an amazing day, I told myself.
