I believe that the Limited-Liability Company (LLC) is the best avenue for Legal Form of Organization (LFO) for Best Yard on the Block (BYB). BYB is small start-up company, built from the ground up by me. With the correct strategy and proper structure operating this business, I believe that this company can not only sustain my family financially, but can also be handed down to my children. I understand the complexity of the today's lawn care market. I know that people purchase a home to not only as shelter for them to dwell, but also to shelter theire money. So BYB’s goal is to help you increase the value of your property. However, I also understand that despite our greatest and most honest intention, a customer may not be satisfied with our service, or we might simply make a mistake. Therefore, we must take the necessary precautions to protect my ourself awayves, aside from the business. That is why I believe that an LLC is the best way forward for BYB.

The LLC allows
my smalls business to operate as an entity separate from me personally. However, the law doesn't treat me like a large corporation. , Wwhich means no share holder or board of directors , and also (most importantly), no double taxation. Plus it means my company will be able to stick around for generation. s, Uunlike a sole proprietorship, because the company is considered its own entity,; instead of the business and me being the same, if my company is sued, they can't come after me personally. , Wwhich gives me peace of mind.

Although sSome states do not treat LLCs as offering limited liability, and some lenders may be hesitant to lend to an LLC because of difficulty in determining who actually has the authority to enter into a contract on behalf of the LLC. However, in Florida, LLCs are gaining broad acceptance among venture capitalists, private equity groups, and the broader investment community. Unlike corporations, LLCs offer a flexible management structure and limited liability for owners. They also offer "pass-through taxation" - that is, they are taxed like sole proprietorships or partnerships, with income flowing directly to the members. Perhaps most importantly, since the late 1990s, LLCs have been exempt from Florida's corporate income tax. That exemption coupled with their flexibility has led directly to their explosive growth.

Although there are a few disadvantages to operating BYB as an LLC
. , I believe that because we are operating in Florida, which has favorable laws toward LLCs, and the advantages of operating as a LLC far out weigh the risk.
