Cultural justice is important in tohe protection of one’s liberty. In the article, “Introduction to the Symposium on Gender eEquality and cCultural jJustice,” by Andrea Baumeister mentions that, cultural justice is mentioned as important to the preserveation of basic individual liberty toin practiceing religion (Baumeister). Restoration of cultural justice is a contemporary issue here in the United States and around the world. I believe the issue of cultural injustice is largely driven by political failure. To illustrate, in the recent political campaign, the presidential nominee Mr. Donald J. Trump announcing the shut down and banning the Muslims from entering the United States. In addition, he also attacks on other people like Mexicans and has callinged them rapists (CNN.com). The statement by Trump raises the concerns of cultural injustices and freedom of practicing religion. FurtThermore,is same sorts of thingssue areis happening around the world. For example, France's government banned the hijab in the public places after the terrorists attack in Paris last year. After France banned hijabs in the public places, other countries like Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, and Sweden banned the hijabs in the public places as well (telegraph.co.uk).
