The importance of the quote that I have chosen is showing athe significantce of Antigone,; she is willing to sacrifice her life for her brother to have a burial, twhatich is honored by the gods themselves. She is fighting to show her loyalty that ishe was granted from her for her family. Her sister, iIsmene, is scared to “break” a law that was created by kKing cCreon. Antigone is explaining to her sister how it is not breaking a law, as laws granted by the gods can not be overlooked/ overridden by kings, nor by anyone else. The law of the gods law is that everyone is eligrantibled to have a proper burial.
