Epicurus was an Athenian and wheo was raised in Samos. He is believed to have lived around 341-271 B.C.E. Epicurus was one the major philosophers of the time. He was famous of the following reasons: finding the reason of happiness through observing others' lifves, and creation of the universe based on scientific methods such as atomic materialism. He believed that philosophy can liberate one from fears of death and the supernatural, and it can teach us how to find happiness in different situations. Although, iIt seems like that its is just an idea, but all his experidenceas hasve an logic connection.
