Emmanuel arrived from El Salvador in 2014 at 16 years of age, going on 17,. tThe counselor automatically put him in the 12th grade. After finding out that he only went to the 4th grade in his home country, they put him asin athe 10th grader. Emmanuel will have only been in high school for 3 years andbut will have completing all his requirements to graduate. He is enrolled in a night class Modern Literature night class that does not show on his transcripts yet.
