This was thea time of great struggle for the black race in America, and Martin Luther King, Jr. wanted all humanhumans to be treated equally. Dr. King sayssaid, “But one hundredone-hundred years later, the Negro still is not free.” Although negro wasblack people were rightfully free, they were exposed to many structurestructures of systemic oppression and harassment. He also stated how they are stillpointed out that segregation and discrimination still existed. America still found ways to make their lives troubled.
