Since my childhood, I have always been fascinated with mathematics and the explanations that mathematics brings to the world's complexity. Besides, I have always been strong in areas that require quantitative skills. Due to these reasons, after my graduation from high school, my passion offor mathematics led me to choose Boğaziçi University Computer Engineering as my undergraduate major. During my first year in Computer Engineering, thanks to the Economics courses I took in my first year, I was deeply impressed by how Economics providingprovided mathematical explanations to my questions about how the world is functioning, functions. I then started to believe that Economics is a more appropriate field for me as an undergraduate major. One day, in March 2013, in order to make a deeper investigation before I made my decision to change my major, I started to read a textbook called An Outline of The History of Economic ThougtThought by E.Screpanti and S.Zamagni. I must say that I was deeply impressed by the book and espeiallyespecially from by the part of thatthe book that is particularly related to Marx. Marx’s ideas, such as exploitation in the production process, surplus-value, labor theory of value and his detailed critique of capitalism have encouraged me to examine the science of Economics in detail. For all of these reasons, I have decided to dedicate my curiosity and academic focus inon Economics.
