Hi Everyone,



As you are all aware, there are discussions and negotiations happening regarding the new position being created in Newsnight.



Till now there have been small groups or individuals having conversations, which are resulting in gossip and hearsay.



The information so far seems to be that this is still a proposal and far from agreed, and further discussions are in the pipeline. I feel strongly that ‘we’ as a team would feel a lot more reassured if we had an opportunity to voice our concerns together.



I propose we schedule a meeting with Simon Ward, Rebecca Lavender and Morwen Williams to firstly understand what and why they feel we need to supply NN with an individual Technical resource co ordinator and also to communicate our concerns or even help suggest alternatives they may have not thought of.



I am happy to take constructive suggestions from everyone so we can collate them and present them to Simon, Rebecca and Morwen at the meeting. I am aware that getting everyone together is always tricky, but I think 1 hour in the next 10 days to 2 weeks is hopefully doable. I am happy to book a room to co insidecoincide with most schedules. Let me know if you are happy to pop in on a day off. I appreciate thisit. This can be tricky (child, etc.) dialling in can also be organised.





This is in no way to be seen as challenging anyone’s authority or an aggressive action. It's just an opportunity to have a group discussion in an open environment.
