My favorite beach photo was taken by a stranger on my 21st birthday, as well aswhich was also a Labor Day weekend. WhileAlthough I had no friends, I decided to drive down the coast line of Galveston beach, burn some wood and watch the stars making wishes, looking all night long. It wasn’t until later, past midnight, when all the craziness of Labor Day crowd settled, and as I was in my quitequiet place, listening to the sound of waves and the smell of wood burning and admiring the beautiful sky, I was approached by an older couple whom I briefly exchangeexchanged greetings with and lied that I was waiting onfor my friends to join me on my 21st birthday. Not only they were thethey the first to wishedwish me Happy birthday thatBirthday in those early hours of my birthday morning, alsobut they also managed to snap a shot where I was too shy and was caught in the moment.

Why it wasis it my favorite beach pic? becauseBecause there’s nothing like finding inner peace and the freedom to go anywhere, and to feel appreciative as well as content with whatever life has to offer.

We don’t always need to have people around us. It’s the lone times that give me clarity, inner peace and the wisdom to which I am forever grateful for to thethe most beautiful gift I cherish, and that’s called “life.”
