I have received my grade for the statistics 1b exam and would like to express my concerns. Firstly, as I have not passed both statistics courses I would to know what the potential options wereare for next year, as I have not passed the exams that are required to partake in the stats II course. Secondly, I was hoping that the exam committee would adapt best by respectingadopt and respect the principle of fairness between the students and by showshowing more kindness in the light of thosethese exceptional circumstances. I believe this has not been met. For instance, the exam was too hard regarding the consequences we were in. The circumstances under which we took the exams were extremely disadvantageous for most students. Most of the students, like me, were not in peaceful environments that enabled us to concentrate fully and maximise our performance in order to reach a high grade. Additionally, it has been noticed from the English track that some questions appear to be translated from Dutch which can be difficult to interpret and understand. Therefore, this gives us another disadvantage. Lastly, before this examination, I had to go to the hospital because I felt anhad abdominal pain in the lower right of themy belly for about 4 months. It took several weeks, and this took place before the statistics exam. After 5 tests they were finally able to detect chronic yersiniaYersinia which is now being treated.
I strongly believe that the grade I haveof 3.5 I received of 3.5 does not represent the effort and commitment I put towards this exam. With that being said, I would like to undergo throughstart the procedure of lodging an appeal against the results of an examination.
