This cultural heritage has been considered for many years asto be a type of shelter, which was believed to be responsible for protecting humans from other natural selection processes, need. Need an example? Well, farming provides food during the whole year (avoiding hunger) and houses protect us from weather conditions, and clothes are also a cultural aspect that shelters us against the cold and so on.
However, theas time has passed and, recent studies showed the contrary,demonstrate that these aspects could actually be saving humanity, since it acts,they supposedly, act as a mechanism of self-defense.
The matterissue is that this culture and attending habits were developed by humans simultaneously with their own personal and intellectual evolution, meaning that - for me-in my opinion - it is actually concrete proof of our evolutionevolutionary process and not the other way around. I believe that human culture is a reflex of our improvement and a response to the séciesspecies' needs.
I don’t see it as a way to escape the natural evolution proposed by the biologist Charles Darwin, on. On the contrary, I tend to agree with the studies which affirm cultural evolution as a product of this selection process, not as if it is depriving the humankind of it.
